We assert that the Ohio Department of Natural Resources is not reliable, responsible or accountable to hold primacy over the permitting of injection wells in the state. We have copied below a sample of our correspondence and the misinformation we receive when we request information on injection wells. Today we finally received the requested notification of a possible permit for the injection well facility built in Cambridge, Ohio, after we followed up. ODNR does not perform adequate due diligence in permitting because this facility was permitted despite the fact that it is in close range with Wills Creek, which feeds Wills Creek Reservoir, which is drinking water source for the City of Cambridge with over 14,000 people. Also, the fact that Mr. Tomastik denies the known facts that frack waste is toxic and radioactive is of significant concern because such misinformation deliberately misleads the public.
