30 Letters Sent to Those Who Amended HB507 to call Natural Gas Green and Force the Fracking of State Lands.

In the 2022 lame duck session, the Ohio legislature amended House Bill 507 entitled, “Revise number of poultry chicks that may be sold in lots,” to force the leasing of state lands and call natural gas “green” energy. “Last-minute changes to a poultry bill during the Ohio General Assembly’s lame-duck session make it easier for companies to drill for oil and gas in state-owned land and parks. It also included language labeling natural gas as “green” energy.”

Gov. Mike DeWine signed the bill into law earlier this month.
The bill with primary sponsor, J. Kyle Kohler of Springfield, Ohio essentially fast-tracked the Oil and Gas Commission to enable the leasing of state lands to be fracked.

Below is the list of the 30 people in the Ohio legislature who signed on for the HB507 that all received the Naughty Letter from Santa with the coupon for a lump of coal.
